"What would entice you to come to the club more frequently?"
First impression, elevated but comfortable
New arched doors at the entry vestibule create a dramatic threshold to the members-only 1912 Bar beyond. The drapery on interior windows provides an elegant barrier between guests arriving for a Ballroom event and the private congregation of members within. A zebrawood table provides the warmth of our first impression, standing beneath the antique brass chandelier of hand-hammered petals and glass globes, displays the curated florals and accessories.
A unique design, just like our club family
At the heart of this private club, there is an unparalleled environment of mutual respect, genuine friendship and authentic connection between its members and staff alike. For this renovation project, club members attended ai3's Day One Workshop where they engaged in constant dialogue on the future needs of the club. The attending cross-section of membership included various ages, parents, non-parents, empty-nesters, and grandparents, including some with design and construction careers, all answering the question, “What would entice you to come to the club more frequently?"
Layering the contemporary and the timeless
Beyond the entry foyer, what was once a multi-purpose space has now become the cozy, 1912 Living Room. A leather upholstered banquette was introduce to anchor the room opposite the fireplace lounge, and designate special areas always available to members. The shape of the new 1912 Bar includes 3 sides and more barstool seating, creating the new social hub for the member community. The illuminated back bar with marble and brass displays creates an enticing vibe for drinking and is now designed to provide lockable wine and liquor storage. All interior finishes have been refreshed to include a dynamic composition of natural stone and the richness of cognac-toned leathers.
Suitable for both casual gatherings and dressier occasions
The renovation of the adjacent 1912 Dining Room now includes a conveniently placed Host stand to accommodate members needs between the lounge, bar, and dining experience. All interior finishes have been refreshed to include a dynamic composition of natural stone and the richness of cognac-toned leathers. New decorative lighting and furnishings provide the sophistication for a celebratory dinner.
